We are thrilled to announce the newest addition to the Family Solutions team — Louisa Milne.

With experience of working in the family court and a background in counselling, Louisa brings a compassionate approach to helping families navigate complex transitions. She also volunteers as a Community Mediator in Surrey, and completed her training with us here, developing a mediation practice that is information based, respectful, and future focussed.

We’ve watched her grow into a calm and measured mediator and she has already made her mark with those she has worked with. We’re so pleased she’s agreed to join us permanently”

Commenting on her new role Louisa said “I am excited to join the team at Family Solutions, as I know how dedicated they are to promoting NCDR, and have developed such a modern firm.  Through my work in the family justice system I know that changes in family life can have a profound effect on clients and also their family and friends. It’s stressful, especially when there are so many unknowns, and that’s why I enjoy giving as much information as I can, to help manage expectations and enable couples to stay in control of their own futures.”

At Family Solutions, we know that giving families space to speak in a safe environment helps them make their own decisions, including children and other family members. Louisa sees the effect of an adversarial court approach, and shares our vision for creating calm, inclusive spaces where all voices can be heard. Whether working with co-parents, extended families, or those going through separation, Louisa’s mediation style is clear, balanced, and deeply human.

Louisa will be growing our presence in East and West Sussex, and will also offer online appointments out of hours for urgent cases.
