Debbie Bulmer
Since opting to specialise in family law in 2000, Debbie has become one of the most recognised and recommended family lawyers in the South. Having led family law teams at a number of firms across the south coast, she has built an enviable reputation in a number of areas including Financial Disputes involving pensions, (especially those in the Armed Forces).
Debbie is a Collaborative lawyer and mediator (Resolution trained). She believes in a constructive and practical approach and regularly works with client’s, their former partners, other lawyers and professionals such as financial advisors to find a solution that works all round without the need to attend court.
Sometimes despite every attempt to avoid court, litigation is necessary. Debbie has over 20 years of experience in contentious court matters involving mid to high net worth cases, cases with multiple and complex pensions as well as cases involving businesses and / or intervenors. Debbie has a firm but fair approach which is appreciated by her client’s and means that Debbie’s cases predominantly come to her as recommends from previous clients.
Debbie also has a wealth knowledge of private children law and provides child focused support in a wide range of cases including disagreements as to where a child should live, relocation within the UK or worldwide, or issues of parental responsibility such as where a child should go to school.
Outside of work Debbie enjoys walking her spoilt labradoodle, spending time with her children and family, and enjoying good food and wine.
“Thank you ever so much you’ve been amazing, words can explain how I’m feeling it’s been a very emotional time lately with so much happening, today has lifted me, very happy with everything.”
